Students of Monte Vista High School are nicknamed The Monarchs. Started in 1961, Monte Vista High School is a part of the Grossmont Union High School District. The school was recognised as a Golden Ribbon School in California in 2015. The  campus has been modernised off late and has an expansive infrastructure to enable comprehensive learning experiences. Mount Miguel High School was started in 1957. Students here are known as Matadors, it is located in the Spring Valley, California as a part of the Grossmont Union High School District. The history of Valhalla High School takes one all the way back to the 12th century. The first building was built in 1174. The modern building however, was built in 1974.
